A preview of things to come via Glow's website:
The Club:
Each and every Saturday for almost five years, Glow has defined the Trance and techno scene in the Nation's Capital with a weekly showcase of national and international talent. Located at the plush FUR Nightclub, Glow is a multi-room / multi-format club, easily capable of accommodating in upwards of 2500 clubbers every Saturday. The night draws patrons not only from the DC area (coincidentally one of the top College Markets in the US - with 17 colleges and universities and almost 200,000 students from around the world), but also from the New York and Miami club scenes, to see an incredible roster of resident and guest DJs in an impressive cutting-edge environment. Glow's resident DJs include Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Marco V, Johan Gielen, George Acosta, Edgar V, Cor Fijneman, and Pete Moutso. In addition, Glow's regular guests include world class talent: Tiesto, Paul van Dyk and Deep Dish to name a few.
Fur Nightclub features a large, airy main room surrounded by plush mezzanines with an amazing view of the DJ booth. After heavy consideration, the sound and lighting specialists, OHM Productions, chose to install a powerful 100,000 watt EAW Avalon Sound system to radiate the Glow sound.
In 2003, Glow resident Ferry Corsten released the mix compilation titled, "World Tour-Washington" inspired by his incredible Glow residency. Pete Moutso teamed up with Dj Tiesto's dance label, Black Hole Recordings, to release a Glow double CD, "One Night at Glow" that featured at world-wide release in November of 2003. Having last year hosted an event at Ibizan über-club Space (Glow vs. Techoclub) featuring George Acosta, Talla 2xlc and Pete Moutso, in addition to a Glow event at the Miami Winter Music Conference featuring Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Pete Moutso, Glow both as a brand and now as a venue, continues to go from strength to strength. In the space of little more than three years, it has evolved from a local party to a true 'Super Club' that stands in comparison with anywhere else in the States. Not relying on just word of mouth, the team behind Glow has invested heavily in new and old media to spread the gospel. Its cutting-edge website and 70,000 strong e-mail list are comparably useful tools in retaining interest as the 100,000 flyers distributed monthly and consistent radio ads. Glow has now become a must event for the world's top DJs, and for clubbers everywhere, and was recently named the "Best Party of 2003" by Club Systems International Magazine. With a new home, great talent and the best crowd in the world.the future is indeed bright for GLOW.
