| Well I've seen threads go up to 2001 (regarding trance classics), and I think it's time we compile a list of classics (or potential classics) for the year of 2002. Or is it still too soon? |

| i think its too soon.. i'd say wait til end of 2005 to classify 2002 tracks as classics. |

| I think a track like Rapid Eye - Circa Forever could easily be considered a classic right now. |

| 2002 is just a bit too soon to have real classics. Well, IMO the same 2001 as well. |

There weren't any trance classics in 2002. Twas the worst year for trance we've had.
The only two that stand out for me were Southern Sun and Solarcoaster |

| 2002 is too soon to call anything a classic. Tracks from 2000 are only just coming into that category. I think the trance scene in general is too impatient and hyperactive. |

- Belonging to the highest rank or class.
- Serving as the established model or standard: a classic example of colonial architecture.
- Having lasting significance or worth; enduring.
You are all wrong. It has nothing to do with how old the song is. |
Uh, we're using classic as a noun, not an adjective. The very first definition as a noun on the page you link to is what people are commonly using here:
A work generally considered to be of the highest rank or excellence, especially one of enduring significance.
It's difficult for a track to be enduring when it's barely two years old. |
