Congrats Leon on Groovetickets writing about y'all!! I really wish I could be down there this weekend, but plans were already made to be up here this weekend...plans I would change if the plane tickets involved were refundable. :(

Knowing A&B are so close and I can't see them is torture on my soul!!

For months now, TranceClub Heaven has been at the forefront of the LA Trance scene. Obtaining the absolute best talent that Trance music has to offer, TCH has built an extremely loyal following in a very short time. Because of this overwhelming success, you can now enjoy TCH events every Friday at the Arena. This week, Above and Beyond comes to town.

Above & Beyond are without doubt one of the most exciting talents in the global dance music scene today. Their genre-defining productions - often released on their own Anjunabeats label - have become an essential tool for the world's leading DJ's and have set the benchmark for the new generation of trance producers.

Above & Beyond - aka Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki - have recorded under a number of different aliases: Aalto, Dirt Devils, Free State, Mike Koglin vs. Jono Grant, Nitromethane, Oceanlab, P.O.S and Tranquility Base.

Equally comfortable behind the decks as in the studio, as DJ's Above & Beyond have rocked dancefloors at venues such as Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and Cream, as well as internationally. Their appearance this Friday at Heaven will mark their first visit to LA and it looks as if it will be a grand welcoming party.

The event is 21 and up and the doors are open from 10pm to 4am. Presale tickets are only twenty dollars. Above and Beyond is joined by The Fluff from the UK and resident Anthony Larry Ross.

If you have not yet sampled the goodness that is Heaven, now's your chance. A company that has built itself from the ground up with old fashioned hard work and quality product is finally being rewarded with the recognition it deserves. Become one of the converted and change the way you view Friday nights. TranceClub Heaven has found a weekly home at Arena and now you can too.

In the next few weeks you can look forward to Motorcycle and Mark Norman gracing the stage at Heaven. It looks like Trance lovers have found a club with a name that delivers. Look no further than Fridays at the Arena for a little slice of Heaven.

Just email to us [email protected] your name. That's it you on the list. Then when you go there just say I'm on TA list. Then they give you a coupon go to the ticket box then paid $10 :-) COOL. See you this Friday, and Rock it.

No...everyone and I should be thanking you and TCH. You all have risked bringing in DJs who we all know should have more recognition in the US, and it's you guys who are willing to try to give them that exposure. Several of the acts you are bringing in are acts that I have been begging other promoters -- some smaller, some bigger -- to book but all have said it's too much of a risk.

Most promoters aren't willing to risk up and coming (international) DJs these days like they used to. It's usually the same group coming through year after year. Yes they are all fantastic DJs and yes they are all very high on the DJ charts, but they became known in the US not just through their music, but also via word of mouth by others attending previous gigs with smaller crowds and then the crowds getting bigger and bigger over time.

I remember when Tiesto played here and there were 200 people. I even remember going to an Armin gig once and there being about the same amount. I remember when Ferry Corsten would not make the main room at Ten 15 very packed. But as they came around more and more, you would see the same crowd from their last gig, plus some friends they've convinced to come...today, all three of these DJs caused you to become crushed in any club they play at here. And these DJs were already HUGE (and I mean HUGE) in Europe and other parts of the world.

I would love to say it's easy enough to book a DJ who is huge in Europe and they'll pack a club here, but as I've seen with tons of DJs in the past, it's simply not the case. There is more to packing music-focused (not crowd focused) EDM clubs than just booking the top DJs from Europe. Popularity gets that initial crowd...word of mouth gets the rest of it. I am hoping the acts you bring through will get good word of mouth going around so you can bring them back in the future. In addition, I am hoping that it'll make other promoters in other cities take notice and take the risk at booking them so the DJs you do bring in are in the US on more of a regular basis.
