one cant deny the recent lull in suicide bombings within israel. the security brought on by the wall and the "assasinations" of head hamas leaders has infact brought more safety to the israeli people.

The concern of many Israelis was that this event would shock the pulse back up in this lull. Its unfortunate how the international community is not concerned about matters which would practically create more violence, but then again how could one ever expect the international community to look after your own best interests?

I agree with NYC: Let the two parties fight it out. We don't tell you how to solve your problem, you don't tell us how to solve ours. We already know much better than you could dream of.

according to the news reports here the ruling not only reflected on the path the wall takes, but also that it is cutting people off from medical services and employment.
The arrogance of israeli spokemen saying the ruling means nothing and the rest of the world can go f£%$ itself speaks volumes for their attitude to the conflict

a court always needs 2 sided of the story, this time the court heared only one side.the stupid israeli foregn ministry took the easy way and chose to ignore the court.
but the funny fact is that the decision of the court doesnt mention the suicede bombing attacks at all in its decision.

blahh

the courte doesn't have the right to judge israel , cause the judges wich are sitting in court never had terroristik activitice in their countries and they don't understand in it.

I agree that it was stupid to ignore the court, but I cannot see why suicide bombers should be mentioned in the court ruling. As I've understood, the ruling is concerned with the actual placement of the wall, whereas the wave of suicide bombings is an argument for building a wall. I think that few people outside the muslim world accept the "Apartheid-wall"-argument of the Palestinians, but would be happy with a wall being built, provided that it was built on non-disputed Israeli land.

And that has been my point all along about it, Israel should build the wall on clearly established Israeli borders, not to accomodate settlements. What would settlers then do, guess defend themselves as best as they do now. As it currently stands I can see why Israel would build the wall to stop suicide bombers, but when it then also serves to protect and incorporate settlements how can it be right. Israeli has every right to defend itself within its borders, the settlements is another thing. Ultimately I feel the key to peace is going to be the end of settlements, only time will tell the true tale. Even the Israeli Supreme Court has acknowledged the effects it will have on Palestinians.

but look, in a civil court for example,
there is a huge difference between:
- a murder that was planned with intantion to kill
- a murder out of self-defence

you gotta look at the whole picture.

The Israelis should build a wall to the rear of the Palestinians, then systematically clear the trash up to the wall. Anyone who doesn't like it can take up their complaints with the ineffective UN.

You know what would be great,,, if a storm system spurned violent F5 tornadoes in birmingham Alabama that ripped your hick neighborhood and your yankee ass to shreds.

There is hope after all. I'm very happy about the Court's ruling. Israel believes it is above the law. Suicide bombing has died down and hopefully for good, and if that's the case, it will give more room for the legal process, mass demonstrations, and non-violent action to defeat Israel's occupation and land confiscation. The Wall must be torn down. This racist separation and apartheid will not stand. It is truly a day of victory for the Palestinian people.
