how was it?

nope

never been. Heard bad things tho.
1. Expensive
2. Sound is bad due to the fact there's so much open space, and the sounds collide from one room to another.

I've been there, and all I could say was WOW!! I was so impressed, it looked like a club that should be in a movie or something. There wasn't really anything going on the night that I was there, some hip-hop thing. But I asked a bouncer if my boyfriend and I could just go for a tour or the club, and they were happy to take us. It is super nice. Really classy. The lady that took us for the tour said that over 8 million dollars had been put into that club!! There are plasma screens everywhere and the decor is to die for. I loved it!!

^^^I'm not one to point out bad sound, but my boyfriend said that he wasn't vey impressed with the soundsystem either and as for expensive, we didn't drink, we were only there for like half an hour, and we didn't have to pay cover, so I can't comment on that.

I walked by there last night about 7:30 - peeked inside as the front door was open and it looked amazing inside. I asked to go in for a peek but they said no.

I will go and check this out one day when they have talent that interests me.

wow, that sux, i mean if the club is super nice (which i bet it is considering the amount that has been spent), why didn't they invest in a super sound system? :conf:

Isn't this weekend the CD release party for MC Mario?
^^^I think that sums up what sorta direction this club is going in.... No lie, I got a flyer for this at Boa after Tenaglia.

I'll see it on Thurs when I go photograph it for work.

They did invest in the soundsystem. Something like 110,000 watts of an alpha dynacord, which everyone seems to be pumping out the cash for since Boa has done a good job with theirs. However, their placement, along with he difficulty of the actual setup of the club is what's causing the horrific sound

THe problem that's destroying the sound quality in there is that it's a GIANT tin/cement can. The sound is sooooooo reverberant in there that there's no quality to be heard since it's bouncing around EVERYWHERE. I visited the place just before it was done being renovated, and the reverb times in that place were easily 1 whole second way above normal!

oh man... sorry for the nerd talk... but yea. ty sound!
