| Probably a short in your keyboard. Time for a new one. |

| Check the settings on the keyboard under "Control Panel". You probably have right-ctrl bound to "mute". I have the same keyboard, and a couple of my keys are bound to goofy things by choice. It can, of course, be annoying if it's doing things that you don't want. |

Do you have a Microsoft Keyboard?
If so try installing Intellipoint, if not, try it anyway or get a new keyboard. |
