An EQ that doesn't create DC Offset?

For info on what DC Offset is, click here
I've noticed that 90% of the time, DC Offset is caused by reducing either treble or bass.. when you reduce the treble it takes away from the negative DC.. when you reduce bass it takes away from the positive DC..
but strangly enough, I've noticed that the Winamp EQ doesn't create a DC offset when you EQ with it.. so my question is.. is there a proffesional EQ that doesn't create DC Offset? |

| I have never heard DC offset discussed in the context of equalization. The only common drawbacks I am familiar with with regard to EQ plug-ins are phasing issues, and thus the advent of linear-phase EQ's such as Voxengo's CurveEQ. Whether or not there is an EQ that addresses DC offset I don't really know. |

wow.. linear phase EQs definitly do the trick to avoid DC offset.. but that raises two more questions..
why does winamp have a linear phase EQ
why even use the other kind of EQ if it will create a DC offset |

I havn't really had a problem with DC offset since I started using a Linear Phase EQ. But i'm sure this can be useful, thanks |
