the reason a Apple isnt a PC is because its two difffent ways of prossing information. thats why pc's are better for some things and macs are better for other. mac dosent give a if you buy their or not. on the ohter hand PC does, emachines sells for like 300 dollars in the store, brw emachines is the worst computer in this ing planet, while mac is never cheaper then 1400 dollars in anystore. mac is built with quality while pc is just universal.. and please dont say that i dont know what i'm talking about because ive been in the computer business for 3 years and worked extensivly on both macs and PC's.
Also every piece that is inside a mac is soilderd to the motherboard while the pc has just cards that you can swap for anything. |
sO everything soldered to a motherboard is better? HAHHAHHAA!!!! Try an upgrade.....soldered doesn't make it better, it just makes it unmoveable....and try to beat pure clock anD processing speed of an Intel over a puny Mac while you're at it.... |

ok so what your saying is that because that isnt ment to be upgraded that its not good? didnt you not read the part where i said that macs process information differently then pc? you seem like one of the guys that know about computers $$ wise.. please believe that i have taken a p3 800 and a p2 500 and ran them side by side and my p2 beat the p3 and the guy said he knew more then me. only my wasnt running on a 66mhzFSB like his was. so even though is cpu was faster by a number didnt mean . and another thing is that every 3 months the pc is getting outdated while the mac isnt. |

Uh, duh. Waht are you trying to say? Any semi-computer whiz can tune an 800mhz to beat a 500mhz computer, but those are so obsolete, they're not even worth comparing. PUt a 3.2G Intel online with 1G RAM, a 7200 RPM hard with 8mb cache (hards are even faster than that these days), and a Radeon 9800 pro with 256mb and let 'er rip. Nothing AMD makes can touch it and neither can MAC Apple. Intel is playing right now, heard they got a 3.4, but will not release their real top of the line chips until Windows 2004/2005? is released with 64mb file system. Who knows, we may instantly bounce to 4.0G when that happens. |

The reason that a Mac is not a PC is that you pay twice as much from the get go, and have to send it to the Apple center to get it fixed.
Yet, the Mac G5s have really impressed me. They are fast as and can process multi like what. For what the average person needs, they are tho.
PCs have the benefit of retro and pro-fitting. Macs *do not* have that. Unless you like the interface or actually use the pipeline - AND can take care of a PC then ignore Mac. People who cannot take care of a PC deserve the they get ing without.
Or maybe they should pay too much for an Apple product| |

Remember the early iMacs? 800 for them remember the eMacs? 700 or so. Apple is a PC, but it is referred to as a PPC powerPC, check out the old performas or any other older apple, it will say PPC right on them. |

This arguement is pointless, everyone here is now stupider because of it. If you are going to spread information, please let it be correct information.
ps. you're gonna have to wait longer then that for Longhorn, Micro is expecting 2006 for it's release. By then there will have been 4-6 Mac OS upgrades. |
