Hi all,
i've got windows 2K pro installed on 3 different partitions on the same hard drive in 3 different languages - eng, arabic, polish.
when i boot up, i'm given a menu which looks like:
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
but i've got no way of differentiating which is which..
- i cant find a boot.ini file, should i create one?
- in XP there's an option where you can edit your boot options, but not 2K.
- searched the registry for the "Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" string, but nothing
anyone got any advice?

there is a way to modify your boot settings (i.e. removing those options, possibly adding new ones even). unfortunately, i don't remember. :p
all i can tell you is, the LAST operating system you installed regardless of which partition you installed it on. will appear at the top. |

i dont :)
well, not personally..
basically, i work for intel, updating their websites (kind of - def not as classy as it sounds *job description below*)
anyways, i have to make graphics for the arabic / polish + turkish sites (cant find turkish intallation CD yet).
*job description (part of my job neways)*
web publisher: i'm diven a document ID (*which might refer to an img, html / xml file or whatever), i look it up in a database (through an ugly homosexyal interface), edit when it's to be published on the main site etc..
i guess it can be interesting enough at times, but i'd prefer to be doing more development work.. as i'm a 1337 hardcore jave c0d3r!!!

your boot.ini file is a hidden system file in the root of C:. You need to show this then edit it to clear the options. You can bring the timer to 0 if it has a wait count on it. Properties of My Computer>>>Advanced>>>Startup and Recovery.
