On so i look at my status for E: In my Computer, it reads as:
Total Space: 81.4 GB
Free Space: 13.7 GB
....Ok, I DONT have that much data on the E: Drive. While in E: drive i highlighted all my fodlers and did a rick click -> properties and it reads:
Size: 42.8 GB
Size On Disk: 38.3
so...
... 81.4
minus 38.3
-----------
43.1 GB should be free...
i hae defragmented, disabled system restore....compressed file checkbox is on....its a NFTS btw...and what the hell is wrong? |

This may sound obvious but have you deleted temporary internet files?
And when you were highlighting all your files did you make sure "show hidden files" was selected for every folder and subfolder? |

1) right click on my computer
2) go to properties
3) go to advanced
4) click on performance' settings button
5) go to advanced
6) click on virtual memorys change button
7) post what you got for a file system and your physical memory size here to continue :) |

when it says Size and Size on disk that means that a 40 gig HD has some space that is required to handle sector control so the actual USABLE size is 38.8 gigs on a 40 gig drive.
After that itll tell you how much space is left. |
