Hey i was just wondering if you guys could give me advice on where to stay in downtown Mtl.

Im coming by from August 4'th till the 8'th with a bunch of my "ami's" lol and want to stay in the clubbing district anywhere on st.catherine or crescent or whatnot...

Anybody with advice on hotels they've heard are good and clean at a reasonable price would be appreciated.

- Dave.

ps. this is my first time going...what clubs do u guys suggest aside from 737 since that seems interesting.... i'd go to Aria but nobody big spinning there.

you got two things into town, regular clubs open from 10 to 3, mostly taken over by hipcrap music, serve alcohol, 737 is one of them.

and then you got the afterhours open from 1:30h to 10am+, no alcohol, EDM.

if you're strong enough :D, you can start your night at some of these regular club then end it up at some afterhour.

In fact, you should take the oppurtunity to visit as much afterhours as you can during that weekend instead of sticking to one.

oh well of course, after hours are a must but thanks for the heads up.

Anybody know any good clubs to go to on a wednesday or thursday night?
Skipper
I just stayed last weekend at the faubourg (sp) hotel. It's 155 Rene Levesque East. I could not believe how close it was to everything. Aria is a 5 minute walk, Stereo maybe 10 minutes, all of the restaurants and boutiques on St. Laurent are about 10 minutes away as well.

Sweet sweet place to stay. I loved it.

If you want to see/pick up girls, head over to McKibbin's on Bishop (One block west of Crescent). Wednesday is ladies' night, free drinks until 1am or something crazy like that. The ratio of girls to guys is like 6:1 :p

^^ thanks for the info...might hit that up seeing as how my friends r single except for me..

where do you guys go clubbing yourselves if your not at aria?

i've heard of places like extreme, vatican etc..

basically we're looking for a club that plays a good mix with less emphasis on hip hop, and with good ladies.

as well which after hours do you guys suggest, the only one ive heard of is Sona.

I worked for a short time at Extremes and trust me, you don't want to go there.

the good pubs are on crescent, the posh clubs and bars are on st laurent, the nice stores on st cats, the afterhours on the east side of st cats, just anywhere downtown is fine, you will find lots to do... east side > west side.. just dont go too far east you'll hit gay village...
