JXL was cool, but he played the same exact songs that he played the last 2 times he was in LA. Nothing new or special.
Oakenfold played about 3 cool songs, but the rest of them were too trancey and mainstream for my taste. I'm hoping those 3 songs will be on his new cd. I'm also curious to hear his new remix of Mauro Picotto- Lizard. I heard a sample of it on Mauro's msg board, but I think it was fake.
Crystal Method was ok... they were kinda blah at the begining of their set, but got better in the middle.
BT's opening song was cool... but the rest got a lil boring for me. He also played a couple songs that JXL had played earlier. I was like ummmm ok... boringggg!!!
It was a fun night. It didn't seem like a tuesday night AT ALL!!! I saw James Zabiela, and I went up to him to say hi. I felt like such a dork, but he was soooo adorable & sweet. :D

I just found out that JXL played a PRE-RECORDED SET from a hard drive, and all he did was play around with the equalizers.
No mixing, no technical skills... just playing with the sounds. That's unimpressive!!! |

thats usually what he does..did that last time when he played in LA..thats why he dances so much..he got nothin else to do...but his set is alot of fun...the only 2 tracks that he repeated from his last LA appearance which were beauty never fades and dirty sticky floors..both fan favourites...hightlight from junkie's set were the remix of sarah mclaughlen word on fire and that vocal remix of breezer...oakenfold was really good. he played good ole fashion trance..highlights from oakie were igor S-boomeranf,tiesto-traffic and SOUTHERN SUN :eyespop: , his opener with the accapala from born slippy was good but last 15 mins of oakie werent that great. crystal method rnt really my cop of tea but it was ok...BT played a sick ass remix of somnambulist and the only played like jxl was beauty never fades and he played a wey different remix...he was ganbin it but lost me at the end..all in all an ACE night..had a blast. |

A great nite...
But I had a little too much to drink, and left my mark b/c of it! :eek:
Junkie seems to always play his Dirty Stick Floors, which I don't mind so much b/c I like the track.
I was too f'd up to even see BT, but Oaky was typical oaky... and Method, well not really into them...
but definitely a great night. Great to be back in LA... |

I know one of them played Kelly D - Snake (niceeeee ing tune!!!). I can't remember who though... either Oakey or JXL. lol
Other than that, I'm not really good with song names. :p |
