well the quote from Phazon should show you why ppl post to add to their post count, so they can get that all important TA Status.
Maybe that should be killed off too ?
its all very nice and stuff to have things like that but when ppl make 400 useless posts so they can get that status is sad.
It does seem to be a competition on here to get the most posts, and ppl are making one word replys to get an extra count.
put it this way, if when Swamper first put TA.com online and had never had a post count system on it, would there be so much bickering and crying now about post counts ?

That is ridiculous, it will never solve a thing. I've never heard of a worse idea than this. |

yep wee already dicussed it in another thread, dunno which one atm, but iŽll say it again:
- Posts in music related sections always visible
- total post count only visible for yaŽself
- change your title 2 months after registering with at least 100 music related posts
[COLOR=royalblue]
thats it!! |

PS: I got absolutely no idea about how much work it would be to subtract all the post from the Non-Music-Related-Sections?
so it would look like:
Wasmario
110post(music related)
815post(total and only visible to maself)
and make this with all members!!
is this an idea??;) |

| maybe this would be easier, peeps cant change their status untill one of the mods sees that he/she are posting in a good way, music-related and that the person isn't a spammer, then we tell swamper bout it, and send that person a pm telling you'll be able to change your status or maybe an automised mailing system |

| I think it's a good idea to axe the post counts. Hopefully now people will stop pointless spamming. But I hope the TA status' remains... There must be another fairer way to decide status... |

aha.. I was wondering how i could change it... Now i know why
But it seems like my status should be supreme... I've seen other Ta's with lower posts that are already supreme..
But that doesn't care... I would like to change it.
And the post accounts doesn't bother me, so you could get rid of it!

| These are the dummest suggestions I have ever heard of....I mean there isn't any post count anymore, and were screwing everything up just because people are 'regulating' what people can post...if its a dumb post i can understand. If it was about what they ate for dinner 2 weeks ago, or that they think poop is cool, I dont care, but we shouldn't punish everyone who actually contributes. we should just take care of the people who spam/flame/whatever by deleting them or their posts. Put them in TA Jail. whatever, just dont punnish everyone else. Me personally like knowing how many posts I have done, and look foward to getting 400 posts to change my status.....I dont post all the time about war and peace, but at least im contributing my opinion to the thread discussion. |

| i think it doesnt matter how many posts you have made, as long as they are valid, and what you believe in, i think that choosing your own status inly means something if you have put in meaningful posts, and not just a load of crap, and makin webmasters decide if you have made worthy enought posts to change your status, will only increase their workload, why bother doing that? only post what is valuable. |

i was wondering where i could check how many posts i've made...somebody mentioned that you could look in your personal profile and it would be there....but i can't find it.
....also, i've noticed that the new "tranceaddicts in training" have visible post counts...anyone alse notice this? |

if you click your profile. the button/link in your posts, not your main profile button at the top right.
as for the trancEaddict in training issue...i don't think i've noticed..but i'll take ya word for it. :) |
