Hi,

I believe Redrum in Reason has this as a feature, but if you don't use Reason, how do you apply pitch bend to a clap sound. Isn't that how Above & Beyond and many others make there clap. Anybody can post a small tutorial about how to do this with perhaps some audio examples! Thanks!

heh true...what equipment are you using Dance123?

Yeah why would you want to put a pitch bend on a Clap??? It would sound weird.

i think the only possible reason would be to get a kinda techy or retro type of clap... like ferry corsten or something

its alwasy good to keep an open mind...don't listen too these guys who tell you that you can't do it...or why would u want too...its alwasy good to do things that nobody else does...thats how you get noticed and furthermore, make it in this business. Always think outside the box. don't asimilate, create! thats why we make music to express our opinion of what we think sounds good. and yea a sampler would do it no prob.

i believe what you want to do should be acheived through compression rather than pitch bend, use the search and it's explained in a thread pf how to make a clap like airbase

well i said "heh true...by the way what equipment are you using". nowhere did i say it was wrong. and obviously you care since you decided to post something about it. but its probably just misunderstandment(if thats even a word)

Just do it in CEP or Soundforge. They both have a pitch bending function.

I couldn't come up with anything that sounded good tho:rolleyes:

you can try using automation and apply the up or down pitch in very slow but steady incriments or fast and use the automation. but make sure you make its own automation track so that way whenever you want that to be applied to the clap you can just have the automation at that point. might be what your talking about but if its not sorry
