I got my first turntable in May '03, and it took me 5 months to save up enough cash to buy a second. Amazing what patience and saving can do, its also that much more valuable and important to you when you do it yourself. Than it took me 4 more months to get the Xone:62, and the only reason why I got that quicker was because my birthday is in Dec. Than it took me another 5 more months to get carts and headphones. And I dont wanna hear... "You got a good job that pays well", dude, I make like $120-130 every 2 weeks. [/QUOTE]
Vlad i honestly couldn't agree with you more.
I worked my ass for for 2 weeks strait to get money for my first turntable and cartridge, only person that helped me was fr0st and all he did was get me a discount with his student ID i appreciated that very much. It will be a long while before i get my other turntable because... well lol i have spending to do with brian, vlad and joey

you know... imma do it because it's the right thing but... i myself have 1 SL1200 mk5 turntable and you wanna have the TA's pitch in to get him two? will we also be supplying him the money to buy his cartridges?
I'm gonna match brian and joeys contribution but i just wanna say that i'd never ask this of anyone.

I really agree With Vlad on that one. You really do get a better feeling when you pay for all your stuff. See I learned the hard way. My mom bought me some CDJ decks for my 15 birthday and Hell I excited. But turned out I wasent really into it. But then when i bought my own Cds I started to get more of a feeling. and God damn vlad thats some saving you did. But i must ask...and i dont mean to be rude. But where do you work? Im only 16 and get more than half of what you make?

I do part-time work in my school...

I wish I could find a better job, and yea this might sound dumb, but the last place Im gonna work is a supermarket... I dont know why, but I just cant get myself to do it.

thats not dumb...u want a job thats more up to ur potential...and yea i commend u totally on working up to buy ur turntables :) if u got the equipment then u can pursue ur craft. all the djs started out like this or found some way to acquire use of a turntable.

u dont have to exactly get brand new tables... i mean. i got 2 m3d's off of craigslist.org and i paid about 240 for one of them and 275 for the other.... and they're in great condition.
