What (sub-)genre of trance is this?

Gotta be a name for these slower tracks :)
Examples:
Crescendo pres. The Audioholics - External Key
Everything Rico Soarez/Probspot i.e. Probspot - Foreplay, Rico Soarez - TV Dinner, Rio Addicts - Crossroads (Rico Soarez remix)
Everything Leama & Moor i.e. Gill Norris - Forme (Leama & Moor remix), Brian Eno - An Ending (Ascent) (Leama & Moor remix)

Anyone? :)

But isn't progressive trance more like, for instance, Sarah Mclachlan - World on Fire (Junkie XL mix)?
12 minutes long, huge intro in a number of steps, 2 minute outro.

I suppose they both can be, but still, "TV Dinner" almost starts at the first beat.

Structure doesn't make a genre.

If it sounds good in a set play it.

A tech house tune might sound good mixed into a hard trance tune.

Leave the pigeon holes to the pigeons. ;)

I'd say it's just slowed down epic trance. Nothing particularly progressive about it. Progressive trance largely died out just over two years ago.

Audioholics - External Key
Rio Addicts - Crossroads
Gill Norris - Forme (Leama & Moor Remix)

These are definitely progressive trance tunes.

Id Call it Progressive Melodic Trance. Progressive Trance "can" be a little harder or darker in my opinion.

Partly true. You will notice a difference in structure between most genres. Uplifting is heavily focused on breaks and takeoffs, ups and downs, while progressive doesn't really 'need' to have huge climaxes etc. It simply has a more free feel to it.

But in the end you're free to do whatever the hell you want :)
Floorfiller
i'd call it good.

haha im starting to see a pattern with you accusing music scenes as dead on the forums. its not dead - the whole dance industry is slow for anyone who knows it because 90% of trance is either cheese or trite, and 90% of progressive trance or house is either pointless and boring. with such a small minority of good tracks coming out in scattered bits, it's easy to accuse any music scene/genre/whatever of being dead.

If people could act like they speak, we would all be supermen and superwomen with super-powers like telekinesis and the gift of flying. Somehow, I don't think we've evolved to that next stage yet, but in the meantime... labels whip the crowd up into a frothy fury, foaming at the oral cavities like 7-legged dogs who are making a fuss over their puppy chow because it tastes the same but has a different name.

You see the absurdity of this, yes? :)

At least for the original Gill Norris - Forme, I'd call that progressive. Since progressive is an attitude. I also have my own term for it:

POST-FUNK SPACEY NEO-DISCO WITH A CHERRY ON TOP WHICH WOULD BE GOOD FOR PUSS IN BOOTS TO DANCE TO

What do ya think, Gwill?!?
