I'm sorry, but this is one of the most unintelligent posts I've read on TA in a long time. I was just at the drag strip today for an import show and there were alot of modified Hondas throwing down 13-15 second runs. The fastest run I saw was like a 12.5X out of a turbo Supra. 13 seconds is clearly faster than what the stock Honda B16, B17, B18 and probably the H22 engines run so your statement is pretty much invalid.
Think your precious Honda Engineers have your car tuned to the max? Slap a Paxton or Vortech Supercharger into that S2000 of yours and you'll eat those words in a hurry. |

Well the Texas sun got to the plastic bumpers and spoiler, thus I rock a red tampon with pink bumpers:
as for adding a supercharger to a honda with VTEC (like mine and the s2000) its not as easy as drop on and go.... you need to be very cautious of mixture ratio's/oxygen ratio and all of that. I know there is a ton that has to be changed. but if it is non vtec then its alot easier.
Ill take more photo's tomorrow... but mine is as stock as a GSR will come |

Hmm, yeah...those bumpers and spoiler could use some love. I haven't done much to my car. I got a CAI, catback RS*R Ex-Mag exhaust and a few interior accents. I want to finish up my exhaust with a GReddy stainless header and a hi-flow cat. I'm leaving the exterior pretty much stock, besides maybe a OEM replica bodykit front lip and lighter aftermarket wheels. I need a new sound system too, the stock radio and speakers suck ass.

| just put it to mspaint and invert the colors. it's pretty easy to tell whats cut and not, as long as it was just a real simple photochop. |

you cant get the s2k much faster then stock. supercharged or not. I think it was a vortech that CnD tested and got .2 seconds faster in the quarter. |

that was a slow import day. But to touch your point of a stock b18 not being able to pull under a 14 or w.e. My Buddy Bill, in his blue hatch, pulled an 11.83 stock b18c5 with nitrous and slicks.

What the hell is the big fuss about Hondas in the US:conf: In Japan, Hondas are regarded as the second worst car manufacturer right after Suburu(the WRX is absoloutly HATED in Japan). No . And you never EVER see hondas at a drag or drift meet. If you dared show up with one, they would laugh and mock you for wasting so much money on such a slow car.
To me, it seems that Honda saw a market in the US, and went for it. Too bad they're one of the worst manufacturers in the Japan. |
