Either you have crappy coverage, have crappy hygene, have a crappy dentist, or have a crappy job. How do you manage to pay that much in dental insurance every year? Seriously, at the last 2 companies I've worked for the dental portion of insurance was essentially a non-issue unless I had pretty major mouth issues. I get 2 cleanings a year for free(though insurance doesn't pay $25 for flouride treatment that I generally choose to avoid anyway), and after that I have a pretty reasonable deductible for other work if I require it. I pretty much have the same deal at my current employer, though my plan is a better group plan than the previous one I had.
Then again, people are really picky about who they let in their mouth. Mouths are important. Teeth are important. You gotta eat. Is $1500 the maximum amount you can be charged for any amount of dental work in a year? If so I'd say that sounds pretty good--$1500 can be paid off relatively quickly with some discipline. |
