I just hope PVD or tiesto are not in the top five again. It wil lbe a huge disappointment for EDM and DJ's all over the world. Good DJ's need to recognized. I really like the names many of you guys have sumbitted.

I was thinking maybe would should have a TA top 100 DJ list. Every TA will voted for there favorite etc.. Atleast we can feel confident that this list was composed of true EDM fans and not EDM promoters.

Can someone with the technically know how make this possible?

I'll give a few reasons why armin is better than the other trance dj's imo:

1) his live sets and cds present a constant improvement in the musical sound of trance.Armin has never made a large drift away from trance( unlike Paul Van Dyk or Tiesto). He has help to redefine trance music and not run away from it. ( Similar to what other top class dj's have do in other genre i.e Sasha for progressive)

2) Even with his current popularity ( # 3 world wide) he seems to continue to act as if he is an up and coming dj. He is very freindly to fans, host radio shows weekly, and each of his live performacne reviews never depict a tired or uninterested dj.

3) his intellegence in his music selection is also seen in his intellegence personally ( he is a lawyer). What a great role model for the young kids out there.

4) His production has been very good to. Better than tiesto or PVD? Maybe the same. But the question should be about him dj'ing not him producing music. If it was than the award should be called the best 100 producers.

Is he #1? Arguements can be made for Sasha and others but without a doubt 2004 Armin Van Buuren has performed 100X better than any other trance dj in the world. He in 2004 has helped to reinspire interest in trance and redefine the sound of trance. The 2004 Tiesto and PVD imo are not at the same muscial level as Armin is today.

It is just heart warming to see artists like Sasha, Deep Dish, Schultz, and Armin really change the music scene in 2004.

Well the discussion is about the best dj in the world, not the best trance-dj in the world.

i think it will be ferry or pvd. avb? no, someone who has never had a gig in germany can't be #1 :toothless

TranceGiant
Has PvD been #1 already? I'll vote for him this time, after he finally changed the tl he had from may 2003 to may 2004 (more or less). He's been really convincing during the LoveWeekend.
Of course there are other "evergreens" that I'll support with my votes such as Sasha and Hawtin. Not to forget my personal favourite Danny Howells :)
mto
You know me, so i gotta stand up against AVB. I've heard few sets from him.. decent material. However, he hasn't put out anything good this year. He's still recovering from the flop of 76.
I'll say Sasha. Involver is great. Good production work by him. Numerous good sets. Outstanding.
