I watched I, Robot last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't know if it's because of the fact that I'm a Mega Man/X fan and that I've read a bunch of Asimov's books or whether the special effects and cool cars got to me... but I'd really recommend this flick to anyone.

Discuss.

I saw it last night also, really enjoyed it too. If you're one of those people who always say "this can never be real, OMG this looks so fake" you won't like it. It's entertainment, and I enjoyed it very much so. Definitely in the top 5 for me this year

Reminded me of the matrix and minority report at times

I was really hesitant to see it, as the previews made it look horrible, and IMDB had only given it a rating of 5.6/10. I am happy to say that I really enjoyed it, and it should be 8/10.

Im downloading it now (becouse i dont want to wait 2 or 3 months before i can see it on the big screen  ). If its any good i will buy the DVD anyway and put it next to my Asimov books collection (Robot series, Empire series, Fundation series...)

I heard from ppl who read Asimov's books that the movie sucked ass.

You can't compare a book to a movie, the book is going to be 10x better of course.

:D

You go to the movies to get entertained, and not to judge every little detail and say "oh they did it this way, and in the book it's the other way." It kind of ruins it

Note: The book has almost nothing to do with the movie, let alone the inclusion of the Three Laws of Robotics and fact that one of the mini-stories inside had a robot named Sonny (I think... Read the book some time ago).

was i the only one rooting for the robots towards the end? even though they obviously weren't going to win (its a holywood movie!)
