Nah, they're classical-crossover-pop. Similar artists would be Vennesa Mae, Andrea Brocelli, Charlotte Church etc.

Classical or "Western Art Music" elitists [classicaladdicts?] despise them. :wtf:

That being said though, I believe that both Bond and Vennesa Mae have performed and recorded genuine classical pieces. :)
fitom tiel

huh i would not considered them "pop" because of there complete lack of any vocals (for the most part)

but whatever, they are a ing amazing group.

I'm a fan of theirs! And Vanessa-Mae. And Andrea Bocelli. And Charlotte Church. And that dude from Shine, David Helfgott. I like 'em all, and what's even more, I enjoy how they take the piss out of the classical snobs, those chinstroking wankers... *grrr*... those old dinosaurs keep complaining about how their record sales are declining and how no one comes to see their concerts, blah blah blah. (I should know, I used to be one of them :P) Ever wonder why?!? Maybe it's because they're *STUPID* and don't get the simple notion of communicating with the audience? Yes, absolutely. I'm not normally filled with such vitriol but as a progressive person, I believe that traditions should be relevant to the modern day and age and I salute the juxtaposition of the old and the new in Bond. People like trance remixes of classical music, WHY? It's because it takes that incredible music from ages past and brings it forth with the club-storming beats but without the awfully etitist attitude.

Classical crossover is my choice term as well. Like the Ancients of Stargate SG-1, instead of going extinct, they have ascended.

ENTER AND WEEP, FOSSILS :whip:
