I had heard Maurino Steffano committed suicide. Does anyone know what really happened, exactly? I heard his brother took "Free Time" off his computer and did a very limited run. One of my friends somehow found it. <. Even on Gemm, I have never seen that record available. RIP to a fantastic producer.

Before anyone gets so mad over what is tragic, it might be better to ask him what exactly he meant by this so he has a chance to clarify :)
Nite-Mer
I'm guessing he meant that they are in heaven. I don't think it was meant to be malicious by any means.

jesus christ, have you never heard that expression? meaning they are in a better place (heaven) or if you don't believe in heaven it's still better than here (as in no longer facing the struggle of life)

I knew exactly what it meant, I just thought it to be somewhat strange.

Anyway, I do not wish to drag this thread off topic so this will be the last comment I make towards it.

Marino Stephano didn't commit a suicide. He was on his way to Bonzai studio planning to work together with Mike/Push on some productions but sadly didn't make it there because died in a car accident on the way. As already said, Mike did "Till We Meet Again" to respect Marino's memory.

RIP all the lost talents.

what happened to Tony de vit, didn't know he was dead, never used to follow the scene, just listened to the music.

This thread is really saddening BTW:(
Nite-Mer
Thanks for the clarification. That sucks, cause any M.I.K.E. and Maurino collaboration would have been awesome. We all missed out on that one.

Tony De Vit died of bone-marrow failure and bronchial pneumonia.

More detailed info about it HERE

Yep, John Horrocks aka Jon Vesta committed suicide in spring 2001.

Floorfiller already mentioned this on page 1 btw.
