Hey All, hope everyone is well. Ok Ive recently switched from Cubase to Reason and im need of some pointers here and there to get me going, firstly a total noob question.
Refills, how are these installed, initialized or added? Any more info on them would be great.
Any must haves when it comes to using Reason for trance production?
Thanks allot guys.
I havnt had much time to read through the manual yet due to work commitments so this would help me a great deal.

hey hey
uhm, you simply put the reill in a file you like, i prefer in the propeller file it self, and go to a instrument, open patch and search the refill.
when you open with subtractor for example, it won't detect the malstorm patches in the refill, or other way around :)
what you need in Reason is patience, no patience-complain on boards how reason suck and no quality blabla, like some people did .
be Creative, you going to do it all with a subtractor and malstorm and refills.
but thats really enough :) |

Thanks guys, yeah i just had a quick play for a few mins and figured out how it works, thank tho.
Yeah its gonna be weird using only Reasons internals and not my favourite VSTi's. Nice learning curve tho.
One thing Im after are some decent refills for percussion and FX. I take it theres gonna be download sites for all these refills right?
Thanks again. |

| Its funny you and I just did the opposite. I just switched from Reason to Cubase. Anyways, for trance production, check out the Trance Construction Kit refill and the Wired refill to get you started. Lots of good sounds and samples in there. There are hundreds of refills though that contain just about anything you can think of so there is plenty to choose from. |
