Just a quick story to you all about the stupidity of a bloke being on the door for a certain pub called..."weatherspoons". It was my g/f's birthday this saturday, she was 18. So about 10 of us went down town to celebrate. She and her friends all wore school uniforms, as girls do when its a theme night, and we all knew about the crackdown on "anti-social" behaviour so we all had ID on us.
ANyway got to weatherspoons, and the bounder asked me for ID, im 20 so was like mm..ok, showed him my Student Union card. He said he did not accept that, i was like why? he said coz i only accept driving liscence or passport, so i showed driving liscence and he was like ok. Next up was my brother, he had his passport and he got through, then my gf came through. She gave her New York driving liscence and the bloke said he can not accept this form of ID. We was like what? He was like yea this looks fake and how know you are american? so she spoke and he said it sounds fake, so my gf, in her accent(which i love lol) said what you mean my accent and ID is fake? So he goes well, i aint going to accept this as ID, and asked her for her passport. She aint going to take her passport out because if it gets lost, stolen, she can't get back home, so she told him that. He said well he (my brother) has his passport. So i said "yea but he can always re-order a new one if he loses it, jessica can'tget back home, equalling a one way ticket etc... which she can't afford".
He wouldnt budge so we give the usual abuse as we walk away, all 10 of us, like your an idiot etc.. and he shouted out "what she wanting to drink for anyway you have to be 21 to drink in America!". We just turned around and were just laughing at his stupidity! ing idiot.
Anyway lesson is, bouncers seem to have little or no brains!:whip: :whip: :whip: |

| they don't like letting in big groups simple as that but yeah its ing wank and has happened to me at times. best thing to do is just say ok and not argue then go back in smaller groups later and they never ing remember |

| sounds gash mate, but weatherspoons is a bit gash anyway, i only ever go in there for a cheap lunch when theres nowhere else to go. |

In my home town of we have the largest collection of bouncers in the world.
In our local club they boot u out of the club if u take ur drinks onto the dancefloor. And what happens if u asked why u get booted out, they ususally wrestle u to the ground and give u a few injuries for ur trouble.
This happens to people who give them abuse AND who try and be diplomatic about it |

one of my mates was knocked back by a bouncer for looking too scruffy from a charverish club in town called blu-bambu. basically he didnt look enough of a charver, ID means all to them, they are nobends

I think in 4 days all bouncers must have an identity card to work on the doors of liscenced premises, an to obtain the card, you must have a completely clean criminal record
which is going to reduce the number of people eligible considerably :stongue: |

Sounds good. So if they ask for ID you can ask them for ID in return. :D |

but they're also introducing if you look under the age of 21, you now get automatically asked for ID
so I'd carry it with you from now on |

that scheme is being introduced by the government, and i think its absolute gash. Where i work, they are trying to implement, and i've told them to bollock off, i can easily judge if someone is old enough to drink/smoke and considering that the age to drink and smoke is consdierably less than 21, whats the point? :whip: |
