truly "talented" electronica producers

most tunes are fun to listen to, but when it comes to musical talent, fall short.

so here's who I think has major musical talent in the field of electronica:

Simon Posford (Hallucinogen, Shpongle, Younger Brother)
Kieran Hebden (Four Tet)
Richard D. James (Aphex Twin)
Tom Jenkinson (Squarepusher)
Andy Barlow (Lamb)

and if we're talking about the stuff TA's love to talk about:

BT
James Holden
Sasha
Corsten, Tiesto, Armin, L-Vee, M.I.K.E (all the best at the uplifting game)
SYSTEM-J
Liam Howlett (The Prodigy)
Bill McDrummond & Jimmy Cauty (The KLF)
Luke Cartwright
Marco V & Benjamin Bates are a great team

Ferry Corsten is probably the most consistent producer imo

For me, I think talent -- as hard as it is to define -- comes more from a place of being able to uniquely express one's self and have that recognizable individual voice that is a contradiction: it not only stands by itself, but is a part of a larger community like that of Electronic Dance Music. You may express yourself in a simple way, or on a much more complex scale, but all the same, it really has to come from an honest you about where you really stand and want to communicate your passion for the craft. Technical trickery may be part of the game, and it often is, but making the audience not only feel the music but think about it and raise it for discussion with others and continued propagation of its existence, and furthermore, its hopeful enjoyment by future generations -- now THAT is talent.

Respect to the aforementioned, very talented artist(e)s :D.
