Hi Everyone, this is my first time posting up anything so please bare with me...
What's the definition of a crossfader wear-out?
Which mixers are the worst for them?
Anyway to decrease the chances?
I hope this thread will be beneficial to everyone including myself...thanks in advance!

hmm..Well I dont know which ones are bad per se...but I do know how to keep a X fader(and your mixer period) in better shape. Dust+electronics of any kind is a bad combination. so just like you cover your TTs(or @ least you should) cover your mixer with something, an old towel would do, or one of those fancy computer cover type things.
as for when it starts to go on you..well the x fader will cross in different places. like a mm from one side...so it makes a nice mix impossible.
hope that helps ya |

Thanks for the advice!
But when they say to replace the X-fader, how do we do that?

| You have to go through the manufacturer, or if you bought it from a retail store you can just go through them and they can send it in for you. |

| it also depends what kinda mixer u have. I know on Vestax mixers, there is a user replaceable xfader..its really easy, take 6 screws out, un attach the x fader, attach the new one, and screw it back in. Its that easy...but then again on the Xone 62, I dont think its user replaceable...so depends what you have. |
