Is $840 for a pair of Tech 1200's on 1200s.com a good deal? this will be my first set up and i have about $1200 to spend. I WANT TO GET TECH 1200 b/c i have read up alot. And i really feel uneasy when i purchase used items unless its a car or something i already know about. I have the cash and am looking to buy a new set of techs.
also, about how much could an average DJ expect to make for a gig? A DJ with about 2-3 years of experience.
Thanks |

a gig where? Some djs I know won't play anywhere for less than $300. SOme play at clubs for $600/night. Some parties you can get $200-300 if you have all your own setup....but it all depends on the person/business paying you. |

In America, you can charge what ever the client will agree to. If you're good, you shouldn't sell yourself short. Expect to be paid what you believe you are worth, and it shall come to pass.
Having said that, know what your competition is charging and what you can bring to the table that they can't.
Cheers.. |
