"good" is a subjective term. i think a lot of frenchcore is good (many tracks are over 200bpm) but that doesn't mean squat.
torontotrance
ask noisician about hard fast bpm tracks, the man listens to the hardest music known to man.

I like Squarepusher's "Come On My Selector" and other works... that's pretty close to 200 BPM, I think. Also, some stuff like Venetian Snares in that "drill 'n' bass" camp.
Noisician
to be completely honest, i am much more interested in the dark ambient/harsh noise/power electronics/death industrial kinds of sound nowadays. and most tracks in these genres don't even have a drum beat, let alone anything faster than 200.

suggest a CD, I want to buy one as a gag gift for a friend's birthday.

Go get a Lustmord album. And when you find out that your friend hates it, send it to me. :D
torontotrance
I don't like your logic ;)

I would have to hear music at that BPM to truly judge, but if it isn't a breakbeat I can almost guarantee I would hate it. I am starting to like D&B/Jungle, but I don't like when tracks are too hectic nor do I like hardcore. But that is just my preference. To each his/her own.
