| Full Metal Jacket is the ultimate war movie for me. Dark, humorous, and inspirational, it made me think of war in different ways, and now I dont really have the need to see any other war movie as that one helped me answer all my questions about why man wages war. |

Have to disagree with you there. BHD OWNZ Windtalkers big time. John Woo should be banned from directing war epics. Firing from the hip and hitting everything, bottomless magazines, and uber grenades that blow up everything in the vicinity = boring for me. While BHD was altered a bit in terms of what really happened over in Somalia the movie itself was still a solid work and provided GREAT action which was much, MUCH more realistic and believable then anything John Woo could dream up. Well, aside from M4A1s almost all but replacing CAR-15s on screen. You've got to be one of the few peeps I know who thought BHD was boring. Care to elaborate a bit? I'm interested in your opinion. |

Hamburger Hill is probably one of the more realistic ones i've seen, certainly more so than Apocalypse Now/Platoon/FMJ
Catch 22 for the comedy |
