Need some help with my percussion.

I've posted a link to a short 4bar beat that I've created in FL. It doesn't sound up-beat enough and a bit muddy. Each instrument has its own effect -- mainly eq'ing and the "sidechaining" hack in FL for the kick/bass. I then routed each instrument's out in the mixer to a special "Drum" channel and used a "Drums" preset on the compressor and the "Drum Room" preset on the reverb.

The compression on the Drum channels seems to help and the reverb doesn't seem to make it any more muddy, so I left that in.

Does it seem like the bass is dragging it down? I also think either I'm using the wrong snare sample or using the wrong beat for it. I'm going for house but it doesn't seem to be that atm does it.

Any help is appreciated.

IMHO the reverb on the drums makes it muddy especially the kick.. Try some reverb on the hihats, not on a same FX channel, put the reverb eg. to send1 channel and set hihats send to about 25%..
