hey

Im looking for a nice sound card , between 250 - 500 NIS ( 60$-110$ ),

for Productions (Cubase) & Recording

Can u recommand me on a nice one ?

And What do you think about Audigy LS or Audigy 2 6.1?
Vizay
if you wan't to be serious about your producing stay away from the audigy cards...

if you wanna go the software way then buy a M-audio audiophile 2496 and use the rest of the money for some good softwarefx and softwaresynths

if you wanna go the hardware-way then get a card like the delta 1010 (or 1010LE) or an RME card or motu or something like that :) (basicly what you need is lots of inputs and a few outputs if you wanna go hardware)

The cards u suggested are expensive , im looking for something between 50$-120$

now , about the inputs and outputs , whats the importance of more inputs and less outputs?

And
What kind of sound card do i need for production , dealing with dj equipment and a 5.1 surround sound? (between 50$-120$)

im not looking for the best , i cant afford the best , im looking for a decent sound card that combines all this elements :)

Ooops, You cant get decent soundcard for that money! :whip:
I suggest EMU 0404 or Audiophile! If you have more money, listen what Vizay said!

Get yourself a M-audio audiophile 2496, i bought mint at the Halilit store in Yafo. Payed for it 1000 NIS, great price i think.

Digital Village in the UK are doing AudioPhiles cheap at the minute - http://www.dv247.com/icat/homeofferslist. Not sure if they'll ship to Israel, but try sending them an e-mail to see.

I'm sry, didn't see it was 250-500NIS...thought it was dollars :) my bad.

well the thing is, the audiophile is the cheapest soundcard you can get that's good enough for production...

I mean shure you can get an audigy but you will have a horrible latency even with the kx drivers (wich in my opinion is quite buggy)

You really dont need 5.1 surround sound either, well infact if your producing you dont want it all. End of the day its gonna be recorded into stereo so surround sound will give an inaccurate representation of any productions you do. Unless you record them in surround ofcourse, but whats the point in that as it'l only work on surround sound systems.
