Mixing With Proggies (BPM Studio, Traktor... and others)

well.. all these proggies are good!!.. but the problem is. when i wanna beat match a song!!.. i cant do it in my hearphones, cause there is like no option where it lets you match before you actully mix!!..
can anyone help me with this?!?.. plz, very importent..

u need 2 soundcards..... and then go to the setup in the program and configure it "using 2 sounddevices", that should help!!

dude.. i have a 3d soundcard..
but thats not the point..
like lets say i mix and record.. i DONT even have an OPTION in the proggie to match in my headphones first...
:(
there is only the crossfader!.. and that dosen't count |

okay let me try to explain this again..
i have a 3d soundcard (Creative 128)
and i hooked up my stereo to it..
i have 3 inputs.. i use one for my stereo the other for my headphones..
now, i use a program like traktor.. i wanna be able to match the tracks in my headphones first.. then bring it out to the speakers.. like in a real rave... but in traktor everytime i put it on 3d soundcard i cant hear the music..
and i dunno whats the problem

well, as i said earlyer.... u need a 2 soundcard.. to hear the track in ur headphones... and use the cue function etc... u cant split it up with only 1 soundcard, 1 line to ur stereo and 1 to ur headphones... need to plug ya headphones in a 2nd soundcard...

| I have the same problem. Ive a SB Live 5.1 Platinium, and i tried to have the headphones connected to the hphone jack on the Live! bay, and the line out connected to my amp, then to da speakers. But when i go into stetup in Traktor and select 3d device, u still cant cue up correctly coz u can still hear both channels in the headphones, even when u cue just one channel to them. Im installing my old Live, so ill have 2 soundcards, ill let u know if it works :) |
