I found this on the Essential Mix page on Radio One's website:

"This week the awesome Stanton Warriors took to the decks for the final Essential Mix in its current format"

.....final essential mix in its current format?

Someone over there in Europe wanna tell me what the hell is going on over there?! lol

I looked through the website, but I couldn't find any more info about it.

They changed the times and the shows times to kiss more ass I guess. They got rid of Seb Fontaine or he left, I'm unsure but the dreem team was the best they could do, sighs, I'm sure a bunch of brit deejays would have killed to get a show but garage, how wank

Is that what it is? garage?

The Dreem Teem are Brit DJs. Also, they play a lot of house these days; this new show will let them do more of the same.

It makes sense to put the EM an hour earlier because of Fergie's show being shifted to the same time slot (11-1), but a day later, and is common sense for the EM to follow that - it's not that the EM is being shifted to accommodate the Dreem Teem.

Seb Fontaine wanted a different time slot on a different day (I think he wanted a weekday evening show), but seeing as this didn't fit in with R1's idea of a new schedule, there was basically no room for him.

Eddie Halliwell and Nic Fanciulli have both been added as R1 residents, which is really good news for dance fans - plus with Tong/Fergie/Zane Lowe/Annie Mac/Jules etc already on the roster, I think it's looking quite a strong evening and weekend dance/alternative schedule actually. :)
