You read right. Not "best ever" or "favourite", or even "top 5". Your 'coolest' please. It's hard for me to put in words, but I hope some of you can relate to what I'm thinking about. I'm talking about a general mood a mix conveys. Groove and Funk, Soul and a bit Chill. Something you'd like to hear in a club, not necessarily at peak time, though. Or in you car, late at night on an empty highway. But not to sleep and dream away, but to feel hypnotized and in the mood for shaking your ass. A mix that shows that the DJ knows the score, that he ownes you throughout his set and there's nothing you can do about it. Comptence and Control.
.Sander Kleinenberg - Renaissance : Everybody
.John Digweed - Global Underground 14: Hong Kong
.Lee Burridge & Craig Richards - Tyrant 2
.Sasha - Global Underground 09 - San Francisco
.Kruder & Dorfmeister - DJ Kicks |
