not more than 3 days ago i was talking about a kid who i used to be real good friends with in high school, saying how i hadnt talking to him in a long time, etc. well last night his truck was hit by a drunk driver. they said he died immediately on impact. apparently the drunk driver was in a pickup truck, so was my friend, both trucks were destroyed. my friends truck pretty much exploded in flames, smoke, etc. the worst part was, his parents were in a car ahead of him, and his brother was in a car behind him. i feel horrible about it. i mean i was literally just saying a few days ago how i hadnt heard from him in so long and how i needed to get in touch with him soon. i guess the only chance ill ever have to see him again is at his funeral next week.
moral of the story: dont make some innocent 20 year old kid pay with their life for your ty ass decisions, have a DD. |

He isn't blaming himself for his friend's death. He is saying that his friend was killed by a drunk driver. DD means designated driver. Sometimes when we are upset things don't come out as clear as we would like.

| Rather than hoping people will be smart enough to use a designated driver, let's just stop giving drivers licenses out to idiots! I have a feeling that it would be a lot more effective in preventing this type of thing. |

I know some really smart people who become really stupid after a few drinks...

Right, but hopefully they're smart enough to make a plan beforehand regarding their transportation. It sort of defeats the purpose to decide to have a designated driver after everyone's had a few drinks anyway. |

but i cant read something like that and not.
My condolences man.
But you know- at least you made the effort to say what wwas up to him before he passed....it would have been worse to have the idea in yer head and to have never done something about it.
