| If you know what youre doing dick around with regedit and delete the ones that look have keywords in it of the stuff that is on your comp. Or you can tell MSFT to go *#%@ themselves and go get mozilla. |

even though your problem is fixed, i'd like to point out that it's also good to download CWShredder (google it if you'd like a website). it helps get rid of something called CoolWebSearch, which is easily the most nefarious of spyware out there. it's a browser hijacker, so it's one of those types that will mess with your start page or search pages. part of the problem with it is some kinds of it are not removable, even with any spyware tool and cwshredder itself. the bf might have to format soon because he simply cannot get rid of it, even though we are both very good with computers, he's gone through the registry by hand, etc.
so, you might want to download it and try it out just in case. sometimes your spyware removal tools will make it seem like your system is clean, but once you reboot, the problem is back again. |

| unfortuatly the guy that makes CWShredder quit making it. He stated that the new version are impossible to remove via a program. If you get the new version of coolwebsearch it pretty means that you have to reinstall. |

| Go to CNet dowloads, www.cnet.com , and get Spybot, it is free and works good. |

| Spybot is good. Ad-aware 6.0 is awesome too. I would use more than one because they each catch different things. |

oh, and if you dont want to get any more spyware/adware after this, use firefox
(not the only reason to use firefox though, there are plenty others :P) |
