man you guys are pretty shallow. Doesnt it strike to you as sad that he hated this world enough to actually take his own life. I find suicidals to be one of the most tragic deaths one could have...to actually feel so supressed that you just dont want to live anymore. i was watching operah the other day, and it was about a 12 years old kid that commited suicide. God words can't describe how horrible this world can be sometimes...

see I always think of in terms of that person not being able to deal with problems effectively. there are millions of causes, and things to blame, but it happens.
I guess I don't get all caught up in it unless I know of the person. |

I know that we are living in a ed up world and I think that a lot of people will think/have thought about killing themselves (I know I have, not really out of a last resort kind of idea but more a what if kind of deal) but the difference between them and us is that we just THINK about it.
Suicides are sad yes, but I do think that, with all do respect but I have to be blunt here, suicide is a rather selfish act. Obviously killing anybody is a selfish act, but you know yourself how much your death will affect your community. There are, of course, exceptions such as where a person truly has "nobody" anymore and therefore feels that by commiting suicide nobody will care, but that is not the only way out.
Of course this is just my way of viewing at it, and there are exceptions to all scenarios, I know. |

| What's the point in suiciding? Is it because you have a horrible life? There's always an upside at some point in your life so you got to just perservere even if you want to suicide which is a dumbest idea. |

Perhaps those in that kind of inner turmoil don't see it that way. Things can get pretty bad...bad to the point where non-existence would be preferable over an existence of pain and suffering. |

R.I.P.
Those of you who are saying things about the dead guy hopefully never experienced depression, and I actually hope you never do. But have some respect, please. It's a hormonal/chemical/behaviour imbalance (sp?) in which one doesn't think like an ordinary person, therefore you can't judge him as if he were a healthy person. This is a far more selfish act than taking your own life. In fact, if we all just stopped judging, life would a much better place, and maybe this person wouldn't be dead after all.
Not to mention the cultural aspects... |

I say they go into another life, or into nothingness, non-existence.
I opt for non-existence. |
