Selling out in this case means to intentionally make formulaic and half-assed productions because you know that these will sell more than records that dare to break the norm and sound different (in short, innovate).
As for J00f he's definitely one of the best things left in an oversaturated market of ASOT fluff that's drowning pretty much everything innovative trancewise nowadays. That being said I think he gets too much credit for incorporating psy trance in his sets (kudos to him for trying, but throwing in 2-3 full on hits per set really isn't that impressive) |

j00f is a true trance DJ
he covers all the spectrums of trance - progressive, melodic, deep, uplifting, psy and more
him and lawrence represent trance more than anyone else
im glad they are as popular as they are though.. who knows what theyd be playing/producing if they were in the top 10 |
