Hey all!
Been a long time since my last original tune, but here it is! Its the first original tune under my "Chris Shepherd" Alias, ive moved away from my Emota one. I've been searching for a vocalist to add some vocals, so for the time being its a Dub Mix! All Comments are welcome!
Enjoy,

Not really an "alias" is it? :p
Anyway, I'm getting this now, although you already know I love this to bits from the old version you sent so long ago... Can't wait to hear the full and final thing. :D |

I like how the beat suddenly enters at 1:30 after the short break.
In the beginning, the snare is by itself and sounds too loud I think.
In the breakdown, those strings could use some lower frequencies, because it sounds a bit thin.
That lead-guitarish sound is really amazing. Makes the track come alive. After that that track sounds really good - a very nice combination of sounds and syncopation, sort of like "Strange World" by Push.
How did you make that lead sound? |

hey hey mister shepless , long time no see :).
cool pad in the intro.
2.17 that reverse crash needs to be changed.
the guitar is nice, but a bit to loud in the mix.
i think you made the intro a bit to long, remove the pads from the intro and let them explode in the break, it is kinda repetitive now.
Also its a typical shepless tune, alot of high and hardly any low, i think you need to work on the bass and kick, bass really needs to be phatter..
thats all :). |

Cheers Massive, I shall see what I can do about the guitar lead and lower ends!
Thanks again!

good stuff, lovely melody.. the guitar is indeed a tad too loud, and i noticed the lack of bass as well (always a problem for me too in Reason). great synths, though.
dunno if it's just me, but something strange happens somewhere in the middle. between the main part and the second breakdown, the track seems to just stop for a moment before it builds up again. a pause in a track is good, but i feel you let too many elements drop off.. for a moment i thought the track was finished there.
this track has a lot of potential, but some things need to be looked into ;) |

The lack of additional elements (fx etc.) make the track to sound a bit hollow. The percs could also be a lot more complex, they're way too basic now.
Also, the pad sweep is too loud. |

Nothing to add on what has laready been said.
The melody is fantastic, so is the production of the track. But the high end killed my ears a lot also not enough bass.
Yeah the guitar is a tad to loud aswell.
Just sort out the mastering matey and it will be a stormer :D |

Exactly! :D Maybe throw in a few more FX for good measure.
Still, love the tune - melody is so sweet... Great work mate! :D |
