right, we need more little DJs

Ask him to juggle some cans or something when he comes over, and then push him down a hill in a shopping cart.

i guess..thats one hell of a deal too hehe..but still its ing weird, he wont let me plug them in at his home..he wants to come to my house to show me them:conf: :eyes:

1#I would be careful if I were you. Well since he wont plug them in at his house he obviously doesnt have the set up ready so he is probably hiding the equipment away from his parents if he lives with them which would give you good reason to have an idea like he stole it.

#2 Maybe he wants to come to your house to check out your place as a nice prospect for being next in line to get robbed, or possibly steal something while he is there. Make sure you have lots of people home when he gets there, a borrow a big dog from one of your friends. I know I sound paranoid but better safe than sorry ;) Just give him the impression people are home all the time and ur... eh emm dog is really mean ;)

can someone explain me how do you steal a turntable and a mixer?

kinda hard shoving it in your pants of coat?
EyesOfExtasy
Well this happened to a TA in the NY forum actually.....his house was broken into through a basement window or something and the people walked out with his equipment. I beleive it was in daylight too I might add. Things like these are not like spur of the moment chain snatching roberies. They must be plotted. You must know who posseses what you want and how to get it, and how to get away with it once you get it. Like a car waiting out front with driver ready. To anyone who didnt know who lives in the house they robbed from it would just look like some kids helping move some dj equipment, unless the neighbor knew those people werent supposed to be there, nothing would really look suspicious if they played theyre cards right.

I am about to buy a new turntable from some dude, and I wont put up the add, just for fear of and respect of the fact that he might be a TA, He's selling me this amazing package for, lets just say, 1000 - 1300 dollars. The package, MIGHT include, Technics 1210's MKII, a Technics 1200 mixer, Sony headphones, and 16 trance vinyls.....isnt that a bit...odd? I have a feeling something like that could be hot (stolen)..I dont know..should it be a big deal if it was stolen, I mean nothing can come of it right? I just need some..professional feedback:p :conf:

You sound like a real low life buying stolen merchandise. I hope he pays your house a visit and steals the stuff he sold you. :whip:

hrrmm i thought about it and..why would someone post what they stole..in the buy and sell, for everyone to see...wouldnt he just quickly pawn them off??

because that person may think they can get rid of the items quicker posting it online. Some people are just ed up like that. Seems like a shady deal to me. Heed some advice. I wouldn't do it.

Maybe becuase the person he stole them from is not a TA, or maybe he isnt actually the one that stole them, maybe a friend did and they are splitting the cash, or maybe he bought them...found out they were stolen and wants to get rid of them now. It could be countless things.

I would be very careful, because this guy might be using this sale as an opportunity to case your house/apartment for a later break in. That's what makes me leary of the whole situation.

Great paranoid minds think alike ;) see I am not the only that thinks this.

If you are aware that the goods are stolen, that means you cna be prosecuted to if the guy is caught. You would also have to return the goods to the original owner and probably would never see your money again. That's the worst case scenario.

Yeah, great minds do think alike. :p But after my house (up at school) got broken into (and a whole bunch of my stuff got pinched), I'm much more careful with things like this.
