| Recently, my old ATI 9200 video card got ed up. Very stupid way to mess it up- but could be one of the greatest ups ever. I decided to go ahead and spend the money for a high end video card. I bought All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro just the other day. This card is just in' awesome. I play Halo on my computer with absolutely no lag what so ever. The quality of the video is completely identical if not better than the Xbox version. So, if you are willing to dish out $275 for a graphics card- definitely go with this one. It normally costs around $400 at retail stores, but I bought this one at Newegg.com. One more thing, the Guide-Plus+ thing is also included with this card. So, it's basically TiVo without ever paying for the subscription service. |

Whats the deal with Doom 3, I heard that even 64 ram video cards cant handle the powah of the game. I was hoping I wouldnt have to upgrade soon for a video card, but if the gaming world requires me to, I shall do as it commands. |

crazyness-- those bitches go for too much. I just settled with the 9800 Pro, but I'm going to overclock it to an XT.
And, I also heard that Doom3 is going to rape most video cards. I just hope mine will be able to handle it. |

The Doom3 beta runs fine on my 9600xt.
Hopefully the released version is even more optimized. |

| Gforce 4 blew out, replaced with another top of the line card. Really sucked, wouldnt fit well so the cap for the power had to be removed. Computer crashed every hour. Dells are a bitch to upgrade, stuff just doesnt wanna fit :( Then replaced again with Radeon 9600 Pro. Everything is okay now ;) |

Doom3 = NVIDIA's baby
HL2 = ATI's baby
they will both run on the opposite cards but not as well. both games are optimized for their responding company
i have a 3 year old gf4 ti 4600 and it rocks to this day so i'm happy. |

| So what would be a good card for the future? may it last a couple of years and run good with all the games? LOL I still have an Gforce3 MX400 (a ing bad choice) and I'm still saving for a good replacement, doesn't matter if its a little expensive as long as it keeps up a couple of years with the games that come out |
