Trance Nation @ Nuno's - Friday 7/30 (pg. 3)

Ahh what a night! I little bit much progressive trance for my liking, but in the end it was fun. Good company, as always.

It was a pleasure meeting you Bekah, and your hubby Peter. Good luck with the new chapter of your lives in San Francisco, I hope to pay the place a visit one day soon. Also tell Peter I said thanks again for his compliments on my set, that always means a lot from one dj to another :)

Once again the San Antone crew was out in full support, fk I love you guys! Wasn't nearly as populated as the last couple of weeks... I hope this was an anomaly.

Ok, regarding the recordings from this week - I've got Chroma's (Andres, aka Ibiza_Dreams) 45 min prog set, and Octane's (Dave) 45 min trance set... both fkn solid sets, good work guys. I'll have them ripped over the weekend, so anyone that wants a copy PM me. I played after Dave, but by then the battery in my MD was dying so I didn't get it all recorded. Sucks cos I was very happy with it, and would've liked to hear it again. Here's my tracklisting from what I remember:

1) Ralphie B - Massive (Mirco de Govia Remix)
2) Hydra - Affinity (Thrillseekers Dub)
3) Plastic Boy - Live Another Life
4) Timeok - Sparkling Temptation (Precision, M.I.D.O.R & Six4Eight Remix)
5) Signum - Push Through (Original Mix)

(after this point it's a little hazy, plus the recording stopped midway through Push Through)

The Quest - Trying To Get Out (Rosseau-Wierzbicki Remix)
DJ Kim - Jetlag (Alphazone Remix)
Matt Darey feat. Marcella Woods - Beautiful (Original Mix)

My mood just got better and better as the set progressed, hence the transition from tear jerkers like affinity, and live another life, to corkers like push through and jetlag. Time to start the 8/6 thread :P

I had a good time, but I had to leave earlier then usual, so sorry about that. Did the crowd pick up after 11? I had passed out a lot of flyers, so I'm hoping more people came. Also, I had to desert my RCA cables so they could be used with the CDJ-800s, so if someone has them, let me know. Otherwise, I think Nuno does.

The problem was I had lost my billfold of CD-Rs that were all ripped vinyls I had done, so I didn't have a lot of the newer stuff I usually do, but it came out great. Besides, with only 45 minutes, you don't need many songs for that.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I'm glad you liked my set, despite the difficulties in the beginning :stongue:

Well next week, I'd like to get a later set because I might be doing a set at Sidekicks that Friday as well. And what a perfect opportunity to play my cheesier stuff for a crowd that would really probably like it, haha. Although, I do prefer the trance on labels, such as Anjunabeats, Nukleuz, State of Trance, and ID&T.

See you all next week!

Unfortunately, the place didn't pick up. I think it may be because people have rent and stuff at the end of the month. I had a great time meeting Albert, Bekah and Peter. It was great to see the rest of the peeps. Hope someof you can make it out to Bennigan's on Wednesday down here. I felt good about my set, but 2 times Tiny got on the mic right as I pushed off my incoming track and was trying to beatmatch. I tried to save them, but I couldn't hear anything. Here's what I played (If I forgot something, feel free to let me know):

1. Gouryella - Gouryella
2. Push - Journey of Life (Rank 1 Remix)
3. Ferry Corsten - Out Of The Blue (2002 Remix)
4. Paul Van Dyk - We Are Alive (Breathless Mix)
5. Matti Laamanen - Flakes
6. Vascotia - Calibro (Sonicwave Remix)
7. Condor - Velvet Dreams (Skylight Mix)

I really wanted to start out with True Form - Forbidden Colours, but I just started pulling records out and threw them on. I appreciate all the compliments on the set and can't waitt il next week.

lol, yeah, I was doing the same thing. I was embarrassed when I threw on Altitude - Silence is Loud (Neo & Farina Remix). For some reason that song has a 3:30 intro with a break after the first minute. You know, kind of like how Cafe Del Mar is. Quite hard to mix...

Hi Guys.. I t was great to me you all too! We had a good time and enjoyed all the sets. We should be there week after next. To all those who make the trip from San Antonio, thank you.

See you soon,
Bekah
Ibiza Dreams
Definitely, great job with the sets guys from the tracklistings Packer and Dave have up. I brought 6 people from San Antonio and unfortunately, they got hungry and wanted to go eat while Sir Jackson was spinning, and dragged me along. I didn't want to make them come all the way up there, then ditch them. Wish I could have stayed though. It seems like people are close to breaking out of their shells and rock the dance floor, or maybe more people are needed to come. Good luck this friday guys, and hopefully I can spin there again sometime, it was alot of fun. Great meeting Bekah and Peter, thanks for coming out guys.
