OK, so maybe you consider this spam...but no, it's not!!!
Because it is related to music in the end!!! And it's for a fellow TrancEaddict!!

Anyhow, considering the fact that I am now 100% sure that this whole thing is legit because I have several friends who have received their ipods in the last week, I have signed up with http://www.freeiPods.com/default.aspx?referer=7403614 in the attempt to get a free ipod.
It's pretty simple. You just sign up, choose one of their offers (most are just free trials that you can easily cancel before the trial people is over) and then have five of your friends go through your referer link and do the same....once you get those five referalls, you get the ipod of your choice.
And it's REAL!!!
Anyhow, help me out. I am a poor, broke soul who spends all his money to spend all the time he can with his girlfriend in LA...so I don't have squat other than a cheesy CD player.

Once I get my five referals, I will totally shut down the links and let whoever else once to get referalls get the flow of people. :-p |

Many people have tried scamming them...most are caught somehow.
I don't think it truly matters to them in the end...all they want is the money for the referalls. They make money because for everyone one person who gets five referalls (and thus a free ipod), there are probably thousands who never get all five referalls and thus they get nothing in the end.
Just think, if they get say $5 for every referal that goes through for one of the partner sites, all they need is about a 60 to 1 ration of incompletions to completions until they start making money...and I am 100% sure the ration is a LOT higher than that.
This same company also has others like freeflatscreens.com and freecondoms.com...
And as I said, all legit. |

Of course I chose ebay, singed up, and bid $1 on some 49er tickets which I for sure will not win, however, I already have another ebay account. So hopefully they don't catch it. If it doesn't work, the free AOL-signup then cancel (of course!) is the next best thing.
I was supposed to get a confirmation from freeipods that I signed up but I didn't yet.

BTW, they get a lot more money than I thought...just from ebay...
Monthly Active Registration* Tiers --> Total Active Registrations Compensation per Active Registration
1-249 -->$ 10.00 USD
250 - 499 --> $13.00 USD
500 - 999 --> $16.00 USD
1,000 - 1,999 --> $17.00 USD
2,000 - 4,999 --> $18.00 USD
5,000 - 9,999 --> $19.00 USD
10,000+ --> $20.00 USD
So if 10,000 people sign up and bid on just one item in a month (where they are a high bidder), they get $20 for each person ... and thus get $200,000 ... wowzas.
That's A LOT...
Lastly, my friend who signed up a few hours ago just got his registration confirmation email...so I guess it's just a matter of waiting. |

Did you actually become the high bidder for a non-dutch style auction with no reserve? Also you can't get outbid by proxy,
otherwise you will not get a "current high bidder email notice".
I think I might get flagged for having opened a second ebay account.
Just hope they don't put my freeipod aco on hold after that. I'd still be willing to do the AOL trial method. |

And yes, I am currently the high bidder.
I just signed up for the video professor offer....once I get it, I'll just ship it all back and get my $7 back...I just want to get my part over with :p I've already received an email from freeipods.com saying I have completed that part of the offer, so I'm set there...
