its the same remix i posted before but with a improved bassline, as many of u didnt really like the bass i used previously, so i replaced it with a more trancy one and tried to keep it tight :)
hopefully i'll get better reviews with this one |

biggup to ye :)
I'm not the best person to comment on hard trance so I'll keep it to the point :D
I think the tune is arranged perfectly, no complaints there at all. The builds all do the tune justice, definetly manages to stay powerful and I fooking love that little percussion fill. Bassline is all fine and dandy too.
The only real negative that hit me was the kick, which for a hard trance tune I found a bit weak and muddy, and in times the clap (on the 2nd beat) appears to drown it out. As usual though, I'll mention my stereo being e :(
Good stuff tho! |

ah good to hear from u spad :p
the kick i did compress the hell out of, its a kick sample that i just found lying around, sequenza kick or something if anyones heard of it, the only real hard trance kick that i have, i was thinking when changing the bassline to mix the percussion up also, but i felt it was fine the way it was.
thanks for the review :) |

good quality
the synth coming in every couple of seconds is too cheesy
then at 1:40 a good melody starts
just an idea somewhere at 2:10 or something from when the melody starts u can try a breakbeat
it would match this a lot :D
really kewl track
reminds me of the old trancemasters of 2001 or tunnel trance force w00t
fun stuff hehe
keep it up

alright ive tidied the kick up, took ur advice about the muddyness of the kick and decided to use the envelopes :) cheers spad
also sunquest, if i plonk the breakbeat into the the bridge, wouldnt that make it even more cheesier? :p
ive heard from past reviews that that was cheesy, so i left it out this time :)
will post link once i gain access to my webspace (tiscali thinks its funny to lock me out) |

well there is a breaks sample in the remix but i didnt use it over and over again in a section in the track
i havent heard mike use breaks in his trax...
not the kinda breaks i would use anyway, i come out with dirty rough breaks (check the sample i used in this remix)
edit
link is working now |

its not that bad at all mate :)
there are some pretty major eq and level issues, and the kick is not prominent enough, not cutting throught the mix, but its nice idea. Im not keen on the start, id hipass the bassline into the start of kicks
Side chain the kick to the basslines compressor and have it whack thru the bassline evrytime it kicks, take out the breakbeat thing at around 45 secs- it sounds odd coming in when theres no parts to it used for percussion elsewhere. The synth coming in is really abrupt, id look at getting that in a bit better.
You could lose soem volume off the lead, shave eq here and there to fit it all, and Boost the kick at 80 hz after compression with bassline but i would try below-
Start with the kick and bassline, and work the rest of the track from there would be my main tip.
hope that helps
Alan

| Really enjoyed this one, particularly the first breakdown onwards. Only thing I would say is that maybe the synths are slightly too loud, but I disagree that they sound cheesy. |

yeah listening to it now, this new edit...the lead is a tad bit loud and could do with some compressing and slight highpass via EQ
thanks guys, will look at it again |
