Above & Beyond - Live
Well, only 1 sleep to go.
The boys (Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamaki) land in Sydney today for this first leg of their world tour to help launch their new CD - Anjunabeats Volume 2.
They are playing the main set at Arq on Friday night, before departing for Auckland on Saturday morning.
Because this event is so unique, we have joined forces with Joshua van Aalst and his "A Night Of Trance" team
Just to recap.
Arena DJ's (upstairs)
Stephen Simpson, Above & Beyond, Ric Dreske
Vortex DJ's (downstairs)
Scott Richardson, Cameron O'Shea, Above & Beyond (live from the Arena), Stama and Joshua van Aalst.
Time: 10pm till late (get plenty of rest, its gunna be a big night)
Cost $25
A note about production. For this event we are installing a whole new sound system and lasers in the Vortex, and augmenting the main sound system in the Arena. It is always our intention to deliver you the best possible product within the constraints of our budget. (But, keep in mind that we have more in store for you at the full Ruby Party on 17th September).
Traditionally these events have not sold well in advance. But, for this event, more than 50% of the tickets have been sold already. So, the night promises to be busy.
If have not yet bought your tickets, and were thinking of purchasing at the door, we encourage you to buy in advance. Tickets ordered and paid for by credit card on line for Above & Beyond can now be collected at the door. Simply go to the head of the queue, and tell security that you have presold tickets to collect.
....and for those of you who have vague recollections of the name Above & Beyond - they did "that" mix of Madonna's "What it feels like for a girl"; and the new remix of Everyrime by Britney Spears (ooooh)

I still don't get why they say "Above & Beyond - LIVE" ... I mean, are they gonna DJ or what? Sure you DJ "live" but when I used to see "Liquid M - LIVE" it meant keyboards and . Still I guess it's better than "Above & Beyond - DEAD"
Not that this is relevant because I am just super-damn keen for tomorrow night and hoorah hoorah, I now have everything "sorted" ;)
