Some of you may have recieved this "Notice of Pendency of Class Action and Proposed Settlement" in your e-mail. I thought it was spam at first but it looks real now..
In short, Two PayPal users, Roberta Toher and Jeffrey Resnick, filed two seperate lawsuits that were later combined into one class action suit. The settlement states that anyone who opened an account between Oct 1, 1999 and Jan 1, 2004 is elegible to participate in the settlement.

You may fill out the short form :

Or long form:

The class does not allow customers from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Finland, France, Ireland,
Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, or United Kingdom.
So seems like Canadians are good :)
Interesting uh? |

I got that yesterday, but it'll only work if someone from ebay/paypal scammed you & they didn't give you any money.. even with that you have to show proof... |

Yup, the average user won't get anything. I do know however a few people who do business through pp and have been screwed several times, but couldn't be bothered to do anything about it.... |

What's the issue?
I haven't really used their services before but I've heard that their service charges were a little high...
Other than that, was a good idea... |

I purchased something from eBay and payed using PayPal to pay.
The person shipped me only 1/2 the items - when I contacted PayPal about "PayPal’s Seller Protection" they said I wasn't covered because the PayPal Seller Protection only covers you if you don't receive something.
So - scammers - send a brick instead of the electronics - paypal won't charge-back the money because the buyer received "something". |
