Hey, I DJ on my PC all the time and am getting OK. Well I can beatmatch just in time. Anyway I've got decent headphones and 550 watt speakers. I'm getting some sl-1210s in silver and am on the hunt for a decent mixer. I've been told already on this forum to stay away from the Technics mixer. I would like something decent, not ty but not Allen & Heath expensiveness. Suggestions please...
Thanx in advance!

What's your budget???

Say 400 English Pounds Tops.

I just bought a Numark DM3002x for about $215 U.S. It is a great mixer, has 3 channels, AUX send/return and various other features. I probably would have preferred better sound quality, but for bedroom use it suits me fine. And you cant beat the price for the loads of features it has!

Since your budget is higher then mine i will suggest a few other good mixers i like:
Denon DN-X800--$500 U.S. at Ebay. (Love this mixer!:-)
Stanton RM-3--$250 U.S.
Anything by Rane is pretty damn good.

Whatever you do, DO NOT buy anything from Gemini!
Happy Shopping!

Check out the Roland DJ-1000 - it's a great mixer, has great sound, quality components, has awesome filter effect, replaceble CF.
Vestax PCV-275/PMC-270 - They are both the same except that the PCV has an improved fader.. they have 3 channels, great sound, they're very durable, very reliable.
Ecler SMAC-40 - E great mixer, very very durable, very reliable, awesome sound, very quality components, 4 channels, very comfortable.
Denon DN-X800 - Analog/digital mixer, great sound, 4 channels, X-effects (for use with one of Denon's CD players), CF curve control, very durable.
RedSound Infader - Digital mixer, Awesome sound, very durable, modular front part, very reliable.

You can't go too wrong with anyone of those...

With £400 to spend you'll be able to get an excellent mixer. The best mixer I have experienced so far was Vestax! Quality through an through!

It's a great mixer... for all kinds of music (yes, even Hip-Hop if you put the scratch fader on), it has one of the best filters i've ever worked on, a very good sound quality, quality components, it's very realiable and durable, has a very very good EQ... it's the best mixer for that price.
