Get Bush Out In November!!
View this Thread in Original format

I mistakingly posted this thread in the Funny stuff forum. I got a lot of flak from American TAs, who in my opinion, missed the point completely. So, I'll once again, post it here, in the political forum, and hopefully, we can talk about this subject like mature people, and not like a bunch of kids.

Here's the link: www.georgebush.ca

This site is simply a national petition for Canadians to sign, simply expressing thier concern for the upcoming election in the US.
What the people who replied to my original post of this site didn't realize, is that not only is this election is very important (like all of them) but whoever they elect will always make a huge impact on the rest of the world, especially Canada. Just because Canadians don't live in the US, we definatly have a right to express who we think should be or not be thier presedent. It's up to the Americans to make the smart choice and choose a good leader. A leader who isn't poorly educated, and doesn't cheat to get elected.

The Americans, still being the superpower of the world, need to realize, that with thier bill of rights, comes huge responsibility. One of those responsibilities includes electing a presedent who isn't going to sever ties the US has with other Countries.

Basically, if anyone tells me that, "you're not even american, so STFU" or "this offends me, we shouldn't be told to clean out our trash" YOU'RE FUKKIN STUPID. It's like I said, IT DOES MATTER what WE THINK. Because since that idiot got elected down there, he's done nothing but fight wars and completely forget his own country and us over in big ways. Don't get us wrong. Canadians don't hate you for it. We're actually rooting for you and cheering you on to make the right choice this November. This is actually far more serious than people realize.

And for posting this in the Funny forum a few days back, for that, I do apologize. I'm not sorry for what i posted or what i said, just for where I put it.

I think you're fighting a lost cause. The people most likely to vote for Bush are also those least likely to listen to the opinions of foreigners. :p

I am american, I had originally wrote out a rant, which consisted of me bitching basically and then I figured it was not worth it. I know where I stand. I think bush needs to get out and the war with Iraq is stupid to a degree. I am friends with an iraqi refugee who works with me. He was there the first time a Bush got in a war there and while he hated it and hates the war now, he hated Saddam more.

I am not saying oil is not the reason America is there along with hundreds of other reasons. I am just saying while the good reason for going is far out weighed by the positives, and to some is a mask for our greed. I would say its easy to sit on the side lines and insult the players for making bad deceisions.

From when this was post before:
Anyone who says "I hate americans" should be dragged in the streets and beat just like any other biggot in the world. There is no differences in your stereotype its just easier and more excepted by the rest of the world.

I hope bush gets voted out I hope green party wins and I hope to move the Europe before I am thirty ahha =). LET THE FLAMES BEGIN!!!!

Every election in our country impacts the rest of the world. So you're saying that just because the rest of the world doesn't like him, it is our duty to vote him out of office? Don't forget half of this country still likes the guy and it may be for reasons foreigners either don't care about or don't care to listen about.

Good Luck in Europe, you'll fit in just fine :)

Who are you talking to, cause if you are talking to me. I already edited my post cause I was just ranting and two. I never made mention of "because the rest of the world does not like him we should vote him out". I am saying I do not like him so I think we should vote him out.

so if you were not talking to me, I agree with your statement in a general sence. Its our country so its our choice. and Half the country likes how he keeps their gas prices low not how he marches over women and children of those who stand against us.

He is a religious zealot who uses his position as a podium to preach to the world about our Righteous mission of freedom. It’s a joke.

Exactly, they simply don't care what others think in America much less outside of America.
