Meh, I hate this song anyway. Most overrated rock song ever.

he composed it but never really liked it. everyone heard it and loved it. pressure from the record companys due to its popularity saw its release.

plus i dont know what the rest of the band thought i know they got fed up of it but im not sure if they liked it. i know kurt did not like it.

$$$, as is always the case. Some people may argue that Nirvana aren't popular enough to be considered mainstream, but to be honest I think they are. And we all know what happens to money-hungry mainstream artists...

On a different note, Freeland is far too overrated. I cant say any of his remixes stand out particularly, and Smells Like Teen Spirit just didn't need a remix. The one time i've seen Oakey play, he played this, and everyone loved it because it's a well-known tune, but it sort of spoiled his set for me.

EDIT: BK, my arse :haha:

The remix was good

I was standing right at the back on the stage and i had complete view of the arena.

Seemed to me like everyone was goin nuts to it.

The arena wasnt as full as it was all during the night because it was like 7 in the evening and was warm as outside

Yup.

Dave, can we get hold of a copy of the BK mix, is it getting released. It was an awesome experience to be there & hear & feel the whole place lift when you played that tune.. A quality choice - just like when JOOF played the Eskimo remix of Prodigy's Voodoo people.

P.s. Its not to late to include it onto the end of Bloom :D

havent heard it, and i hope i never do.
some may say i should have an open mind, but in cases like
this, where nirvana is remixed, i wont tolerate it foe even
a second. its the same as a chili peppers remix i once heard.

rock 'n roll bands like these should NEVER be remixed.:whip:
U2 may be the one exception since they arent so hard a group,
but these others are all attempts at cracking the mainstream
and it really is horrible

just my opinion:toocool:

It was better than the Adam Freeland Remix and it went down an absolute storm. And about the tent emptying while G&D were on; did it ! It's the best i've ever seen these guys play, probably because they had to pick the pace up more than usual being on a bit before Mauro and right on after J00F. The tent did empty though when MIKE came on, myself included. Out of the 4 times i've seen G&D now this is the first time i've really enjoyed a set from them, so searchdestroy_1 is speaking out of his arse.

Did u not enjoyed their set at the NEC

You're joking right? Do you know anything? It was their first single released on a major label, it took off like crazy, and the band got sick of playing it, same as Radiohead hate Creep, it brought all the redneck wanker fans that they hated. Had nothing to do with money you remo, hink before you let dribble out your mouth next time
