It would appear that you are the spokeperson for the "against threads with chicks in em"
Since that thread was deleted where you stated your arguments might you restate them so that they can be discussed? I think your personal opinion on a topic isn't really enough to ban a topic in a relaxed environment like COR without considerable debate from all sides :)
At this time I will not take a side,
however I will observe that there is thread dedicated to Dido pics that you have not entered and written a message stating that it is offensive to post pics of her. Could you explain to me why celebrating her beauty is acceptable to you and others are not? Or have you just not gotten around to posting in that thread? To make it easier for you to get there and tell them that their thread too is offensive I will conveniently provide you a link as I assume you like to stay on top of such things...

I love chicks as much as the next guy, but I think what hes trying to do is stop it now so you don't get a load of people making threads just about chicks, its not bad, but it could quite easly get out of hand and we'd have the COR flooded with Girl threads, if you wanna see pics of chicks, theres a million sites you could goto, plus there are chicks on TA (girlx on thar intarweb?:eek: :eek: :eek: ) and I'm sure they will get sick of seeing chicks in every thread, I know I don't wanna see pics of guys threads all over the place, so I think hes just trying to stop it in its track.

A) I did not delete that thread. I would appreciate it if you would not accuse me of trying to dictatorially rule this forum without first knowing the score.
B) I am not the 'spokesperson' for threads dedicated to posting pictures of half-naked women.
What I am doing is trying to uphold a standard that was set to keep this forum free of wank-tastic threads every 20 minutes. Maybe you weren't hanging out in the COR much, say, 4 months ago, but it was pretty much a disaster. As one of the site moderators, I am trying to keep a level of decency to this section of the website so the female members can enjoy themselves without being bombarded by these threads over and over again.
I'm sure you would have no say in the matter if our beloved female members started posting pictures of men in g-strings?
C) I'm sure anybody with a sense of reason can discriminate between a 'post your pictures of hot chicks' thread and a thread dedicated to a famous female pop star. I haven't, in fact, even looked at that thread. If there are pictures of Dido in there, wonderful. What you might have failed to realize is that at least one of the pictures that 'The Master' posted was of said model in an obviously see-through shirt. Now, I know, I may sound 'old' and 'lame' by making that an issue, but you have to recognize that there are over 35,000 people on this forum, several of them females, and people might find that offensive.
Is that a reasonable enough explanation for you? |

its sooo funny how the topics in here cycle throughout the year. seems every few months the same crap gets posted.....a bunch of wanking threads, a bunch of people complaining about mods abusing their power.....blah blah.
